The E-Appliance

The E-appliance can reduce or eliminate problems and disadvantages associated with previous oral appliances. The two arches contact one another using a single anterior bearing point on a flat plane, which allows the user’s muscles and anatomy to move the joint into its proper natural position.

Because the E-appliance ensures that the joint is in its proper natural position and eliminates proprioceptive input to the muscles, bite force is reduced, and masticatory system harmony is established

Tri-Pod

This appliance is an E appliance but with 3 contacts.  One contact in the anterior and one of each side of the posterior area.  This appliance is recommended for patients who need more stability in the posterior area due to pain in the joint.  This would work well on a delta stage grinder. 

Single Arch E appliance- replacement or upper only

1. Used for replacing a single arch of the E appliance
2. Someone who can’t wear an upper and lower appliance

Centric Relation splint

Flat occlusal  plane  with anterior guidance.  Will need a centric relation bite with 2 mm vertical opening. 

Eubank Diagnostic Deprogrammer

Anterior bite plane. Vertical opened just out of contact.  Bicuspid to Bicuspid.  Will need upper and lower scans and/or impressions/models. 

Durasoft E appliance

All the benefits of the E appliance except the material is a hard PETG base material and a soft thermoplastic material on the inside.
